The contribution of women to the revolution of 1821 was very important. Depending on their position and the circumstances, each of them went above and beyond. The same women fought alongside the male fighters, taking care of their children without fear of death. Today's Greek women have the same national characteristics as their ancestors, the same ideas of freedom that remain unchanged even after 200 years.
